Vitruvius v.0.40 Released: Getting Social
A significant amount of infrastructure has been added to the site since the initial v.0.30 public release. v.0.40 brings about many new feature and performance enhancements that were necessary for this site to better function. The most important aspect that has been added to the site is the integration of the site with major social networking services such as StumbleUpon, Twitter and Facebook. Critique This will continue to get social. Follow these updates on the Social Network page.
Another exciting new features is the added ability of the site to post relevant articles to the article that you are currently reading. The related articles include a thumbnail and brief excerpt which increase the probability of finding articles related to your research. Many coding bugs have also been corrected: print icon now works correctly and formatted to match sociable links. The front pages have also been coded to contain multiple loops which now function without duplicating articles. The last major feature which has been added to this site is Google Analytics which will greatly help in tracking the popularity of content.
During the next couple of weeks I will be working to expand the links pages and add the necessary infrastructure to navigate the various links as they are added. There are many great articles, interviews and features that I am working on that will be posted over the next couple of weeks.
As always if you have any comments in relation to features that you would like to see added to this site please note them below.
