One of the evil things about the internet is that there are numerous threats to blogs like this one. Spammers, bots, people trying to sell naked photos and supplements, attempt to hack into sites like this to spread their filth. Previously, if you wanted to post comments on the Critique This site, as a precautionary measure to stop spammers you had to create an account and log into the site. Many individuals do not like to create accounts on blog sites for many reasons, particularly because it is another account that they have to keep track of. Now comments can be posted without creating an account! I have incorporated a CAPTCHA anti-spam feature into the site which stops bots and hackers from creating new software that can automatically log into most sites and leave nasty messages.

Comments require an email address, but this is only to track your user name so that other people cannot pose as you. Your email address is not displayed on our site, and is not added to a mailing list or resold. It may be necessary for you to click reload upon posting your first comment, if you are not logged in. If you do not use the same email address each time, I will have to release your comment as a means of preventing spam. If you continue to use the same email address, your comments will post automatically. I will be working on coding the comments for non-registered users so that comments are automatically updated and you do not have to hit the reload button.

There is an advantage to creating an account on the Critique This website. In the near future we will have contests and promotional giveaways. We will select the winners based on a random drawing of users that have registered accounts. Also when you create an account you will receive instant updates and special access to future resources which will be added to the site. This means that if you do not create an account that you cannot win! More information to come in regards to these promotions.

A significant amount of infrastructure has been added to the site since the initial v.0.30 public release. v.0.40 brings about many new feature and performance enhancements that were necessary for this site to better function. The most important aspect that has been added to the site is the integration of the site with major social networking services such as StumbleUpon, Twitter and Facebook. Critique This will continue to get social. Follow these updates on the Social Network page.

Another exciting new features is the added ability of the site to post relevant articles to the article that you are currently reading. The related articles include a thumbnail and brief excerpt which increase the probability of finding articles related to your research. Many coding bugs have also been corrected: print icon now works correctly and formatted to match sociable links. The front pages have also been coded to contain multiple loops which now function without duplicating articles. The last major feature which has been added to this site is Google Analytics which will greatly help in tracking the popularity of content.

During the next couple of weeks I will be working to expand the links pages and add the necessary infrastructure to navigate the various links as they are added. There are many great articles, interviews and features that I am working on that will be posted over the next couple of weeks.

As always if you have any comments in relation to features that you would like to see added to this site please note them below.
